The girls got home from camp on Saturday.  They had a great time, were in a fantastic mood and were ready for an adventure. So, we dumped their filthy clothes out on the deck, washed the top layer of disgustment off them and headed up to ‘the Ranch’ to hang out with our friend from Muskie High School, Steve Gabbard, his wife Molly and daughter Laurel.

There were several families at the ranch and we took all the kids on a mountain bike ride.  Except for the 5-year old, it was highly successful.  An easy & beautiful 2-hour ride with only minor injuries.  The rest of the time the children spent playing outside and  just getting completely scratched, scraped and dirty.  It was the perfect weekend and we felt so lucky to be invited to the ranch.
